Select Committee of the Legislature

A Select Committee of the Legislature was established by Order of the Legislative Assembly on November 25 , 1981 (Motion No. 28).  
THAT a Select Committee of the Legislature be established;
THAT the Honourable Member Mr. Hanson be Chairman of the Committee;
THAT the remaining four members of the Committee be set by separate motion of this House on each occasion that a matter is referred to the Committee; 
THAT the powers of the Committee be specified on each occasion that a motion is referred to the Committee;
and
THAT the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly be responsible for providing the necessary support services to the Committee. 

On November 26, 1981, the Legislative Assembly referred Bill No. 75, Wildlife Ordinance, to the committee and appointed Mr. Graham, Mr. Fleming, Mr. Kimmerly and Mr. Veale to the committee (Motion No. 31).

On December 17, 1981, the Legislative Assembly referred the Green Paper on Employment Standards Ordinance to the committee and appointed Mr. Falle, Mr. Fleming, Mr. Penikett and Mr. Veale to the committee (Motion No. 41). With this mandate, the Select Committee of the Legislature subsequently referred to itself as the Select Committee on Labour Standards.
