The Select Committee on Whistle-blower Protection was established by Order of the Legislative Assembly on April 2, 2012 (Motion #120). The membership of the committee, and the committee's mandate, were amended by Motion #195, which the Assembly adopted on April 30, 2012.
The committee was charged with reviewing and reporting to the Assembly its findings and recommendations respecting the central issues that should be addressed in whistle-blower protection legislation. Motion #120 required that Patti McLeod be designated Chair of the select committee.
After submitting its report to the Assembly on December 4, 2012, the select committee dissolved.

The Select Committee on Whistle-blower Protection was established by Order of the Legislative Assembly on May 24, 2007 (Motion #125). The committee was charged with reviewing and reporting to the Assembly its findings and recommendations respecting the central issues that should be addressed in whistle-blower protection legislation. Motion #125 required that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly be designated Chair of the select committee.
