The Hon. Currie Dixon was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election of the 33rd Legislative Assembly on October 11, 2011. He was re-elected in the general election for the 35th Legislative Assembly on April 12, 2021 and in the general election for the 36th Legislative Assembly on November 3, 2025.

The Hon. Currie Dixon was sworn in as Premier on November 22, 2025. In addition, he currently serves as Minister of the Executive Council Office and the Minister of Finance.

The Hon. Currie Dixon served as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts during the 35th Legislative Assembly. He was appointed to the committee by Order of the House on May 17, 2021. On May 13, 2021, the Hon. Currie Dixon was appointed a member of the Members’ Services Board by Order of the House. He was also a member of the Special Committee on the Yukon Citizens’ Assembly on Electoral Reform, which was established by the House on April 25, 2023.

On September 28, 2022, it was announced that the Hon. Currie Dixon would be the Yukon Party caucus critic for the Executive Council Office, the Yukon Liquor Corporation, the Yukon Lottery Corporation, the Yukon Cannabis Corporation, Early Learning and Child Care, and the 2027 Canada Winter Games.

The Hon. Currie Dixon was sworn in as a member of the Executive Council (Cabinet) on November 5, 2011. During the 33rd Legislative Assembly he served as Minister of Environment, Minister of Economic Development, Minister of Community Services and Minister of the Public Service Commission. 

During the 33rd Legislative Assembly the Hon. Currie Dixon was appointed to the Members’ Services Board, the Standing Committee on Rules, Elections and Privileges, the Standing Committee on Appointments to Major Government Boards and Committees and the Select Committee Regarding the Risks and Benefits of Hydraulic Fracturing.
